The graceful and nomadic short-eared owl is the subject of the latest Living Uplands FREE educational resource.

This new pack provides for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils, with lots of activity and learning for the classroom in school or at home, all FREE to download either all from the top of the curlew page, or each folder individually from the drop down menu at the bottom of the the page.
All five modules are completely FREE. Everything is organised in simple folders for each topic.
There is a topic plan for each module outlining the essentials for learning, along with materials to help expand knowledge about Habitat, Adaptation, Life Cycle and Food Chains.
Short-eared owls nest in the Uplands. Tracking, by organisations such as the BTO, has demonstrated how these beautiful, graceful, birds have a nomadic tendency travelling all around the British Isles, heading North to Scandinavia and South to Morocco.
