Supporting St Cuthbert’s Hospice

There is no-one in the community unaffected in some way by cancer. Everyone has a family member or friend who has had a diagnosis. For that reason, Living Uplands is pleased to support St Cuthbert’s Hospice, and specifically a Weardale Clay Shoot fundraiser to be held 6th June at the old Eastgate Cement Works Quarry.

Alex Raynor’s father spent time at the hospice and now Alex is helping raise funds to thank St Cuthberts for its support to his family. Lots of friends and local volunteers have promised to help on the day for this community centred event. Details on signing up a team are below, and the same contact details can be used to sponsor a clay stand for the event for £600.

Once expenses are covered, the balance of all funds raised will be for the Hospice. It cost almost £5 million to run Hospice Services last year, with around one quarter of that raised by donations and legacies from the ublic.

St Cuthbert’s Hospice is very much focused on caring for the living; helping people live well for longer.  There is also support to families; perhaps helping a child make a memory box or bereavement counselling.

The Weardale Clay Shoot is a terrific opportunity to help a service at the heart of the community for all in the community. If unable to support on the day you can donate directly to St Cuthberts HERE giving as the reason for the donation Weardale Clays or Nick Raynor.

Thank you for the support.
